SIX TIPS FOR GETTING THE MAN IN YOUR LIFE TO BUY YOU WHAT YOU WANT

Posted by on

With the unveiling of our brilliant new website www.thegreatgiftcompany.co.uk we are particularly excited to be launching our range for Unusual Gifts for Women and girls as well as Gifts for Men and boys. Ladies, you will find lots of new, exciting and unusual gifts that you will be very tempted to buy for yourself.

But how do you get the man in your life to buy them for you? We’ve put together our top tips on how to get him to buying you what you want. So whether you have a birthday, anniversary or Christmas is coming up, or you deserve a gift for just being you, our tips will assist you in getting your dad, husband, brother or boyfriend to get you precisely what you want.

Here are our top six suggestions. Have a go and good luck!

1.    Flattery. This really will get you everywhere. Tell your brother he looks amazing on his way out for a date, or tell your boyfriend how incredibly handsome he is on a regular basis. The key is to be subtle; if you sound sarcastic your cover will be blown. Easy does it.

2.    Random acts of kindness. Make your husband breakfast in bed on a Sunday, perhaps throw in a foot rub (entirely dependent on the state of his feet) and offer to pop out and get him the Sunday papers. After all, you want to show him how much you love him. Perhaps leave a printout of a funky new kitchen gadget inside the paper as a subtle hint.

3.    Nagging. We all know us ladies nag when we need to, so just keep on mentioning that crazy cocktail making set you saw the other day and how great it would be, and wouldn’t it be a good excuse to have friends round to try it out, and you’ve wanted one for so long now, and it would make you so happy, and…… you get the gist.

4.    Be obvious. If all else fails just write the man a birthday list. That way you and he know what you want. I would suggest writing it in bold capitals and putting it on the fridge so he can find it easily. If the man in your life is not a whizz with the computer maybe even leave a product code and website address on there to avoid any confusion

5.    Blackmail. Tried and tested for years now but it sometimes works. Find an embarrassing childhood photo or perhaps a beloved teddy and threaten to send the picture to all his friends or show them his teddy if he doesn’t order you that wonderful handbag immediately.

6.    Bribery, another classic method. Offer to mow the lawn for your dad in return for that must-have bracelet you’ve just seen online. If he says no perhaps relent a little and offer to mow it two weekends in a row.

Good luck. Perseverance and patience are key. When you become an expert at this, he will think that the perfect gift was his idea all along and that he came up with it all by himself!
